Junior parkrun is a series of 2k runs for children aged between 4 and 14. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part in

It is on every single Sunday morning at 9:30 am, all year round. We meet at the all-weather pitches in Bremore Castle Park (just off Bath Road) at 9:20 am on Sunday mornings and run/walk two loops of the park, around the pitches. The track is half tarmac and half grit path.
Adults can run with their kids, but only the kids can get an official time. In order to get an official time, kids should bring a printed copy of their parkrun barcode with them. Adults should register their kids (just once) on www.parkrun.ie/register in order to print off their child’s barcode.
Parkrun is free and is run by local volunteers. The regular volunteers are Garda vetted and have taken a Child Welfare course. If you are interested in volunteering with us, create a parkrun account by registering once on www.parkrun.ie/register and tick the box to ‘opt-in’ for volunteer emails for Balbriggan junior parkrun.
